theArtWorks(tm): North Carolina's First Art Village
One of my favorite quotes is by Pablo Picasso: "Art washes from the soul the dust of everyday life."
With this in mind, can you image a whole village of artists working in all types of mediums and creating something beautiful? From first class potters to painters and glass workers, to photographers and jewelry makers to textile artists, you'll find art for the soul. Located in Wilmington, North Carolina is such a place. It's new and it's growing fast.
I'm fortunate that my Annsliee studio is located there where I show and sell textile art in mixed media and fun embroidered throw pillows.
Recently, theArtWorks(tm) was featured in NC Weekends, a news tip program by the University of North Carolina, on the places to be. Check out this video and meet some of my fellow artists. It inspired one couple from Myrtle Beach to drive two hours just to visit us. They were not disappointed!
Are your artistic taste buds salivating yet? Check out theArtWorks(tm) website too. Then come on down and visit us!
Not in town? Put us on your East Coast vacation list. Wilmington, NC is a coastal town with lots of beaches; and places for boating and fishing. A quaint river front downtown, a NC college campus and an art hub draws visitors not only from all over the U.S. but also from all over the world! Join us as soon as you can and be sure to stop by theArtWorks(tm).
See you soon?
